Sherman Pendergarst, 45, of Davenport, died July 20, 2012, at Genesis West, Davenport

Memorial services are 4 p.m. Tuesday at Runge, Davenport. Visitation is 2 p.m. to services.

He was born Feb.1, 1967, to Mack and Lillie Pendergarst in Baltimore, Md.

He competed and headlined fight cards for multiple promoters all over the country including the UFC. During his career, he won three heavyweight championships.

Survivors are his father and brother. He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters and a brother.
