Hazel I. Gall, 80, East Moline, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at her home.

Funeral services are noon Friday at Wildwood Baptist Church, 18717 Hubbard Road, East Moline. Burial is at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church and one hour prior to services on Friday. Memorials may be made to Wildwood Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Hazel Thompson was born May 3, 1932, in Brookfield, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mae Dean Thompson. She married Gerald "Jerry" Gall on March 11, 1950, in Linneus, Mo.

Hazel had worked in respiratory therapy at the three Illinois Quad-City hospitals. She also had worked at the former Community Savings and Loan in East Moline.

Hazel enjoyed painting and working in her rose garden. She was a fantastic cook and made the world's best fried chicken. She had worked outside the home, but her life was her family, and she was a dedicated homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jerry; her children, Daniel E. Gall (Cindy Stadel), Eldridge, Patrick (Shari) Gall, Rapids City, and Michael (Sue) Gall, Moline; grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna, Evan, Kurt, Ryan, Tyler, Aaron and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Addilyn, Stella and Leah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; infant son, Randy; infant baby girl; and a great-grandson, Kai.
