Beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012 the northbound lane on 24th Street fromBlackhawk Road to the south entrance of the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center (RIFAC) will be closed due to an emergency storm sewer repair. RIFAC will be open during normal business hours.

Please follow all posted construction signs for detour directions and watch for trucks entering and leaving the construction zone. The anticipated date for resuming traffic is Friday, May 18, 2012. The City of Rock Island is sorry for any inconvenience due to this road closure and appreciates the patience and consideration of the traveling public.
