Susan Mary O'Brien-Brockway, 53, of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of East Moline, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, in her home.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, from 5 until 7 p.m. with the eulogy beginning at 6:45 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, 701 1st Ave., Silvis. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
Sue supported many organizations that were near and dear to her heart and she would appreciate any memorial contribution made to an organization near and dear to yours. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory, with a visitation in Fayetteville on May 1.
She was born May 28, 1958, in Moline, to Richard and Sandra Pittinton O'Brien.
She was employed at Tyson Foods as a senior community relations manager, where she became a strong advocate for hunger relief. She supported many charitable organizations and through the years served on a number of non-profit boards.
She is survived by Lillie the Wonder Dog; her daughter, Patricia Clark; sister, Shelly (Chris) Snyder; sister, Amy Suggs; stepfather, Larry (Gloria) Siegel; stepmother, Diane O'Brien; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
