PEORIA, Ill. -- The seventh annual More on 34 yard sales will once again stretch across 100 miles on U.S. Route 34 from Galesburg to Aurora, Ill., during Father's Day weekend on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16.

More on 34 is an event that features yard sales, antique shows, flea markets and craft shows in towns along U.S. Highway 34.

Participating in this year's More on 34 is United Methodist Church in Earlville. They will be holding their 6th annual dinner. This year they reached out to four other churches in the area to participate in raising money. A donation yard sale will also take place where attendees can pick items and pay by "free will donation" to help raise money for the church.

The city of Galva will be holding the Galva Freedom Fundraiser during Father's Day weekend at Wiley Park.

The city of Plano will also be holding a major event to attract new visitors. Last year the Superman movie, "Man of Steel," was filmed in the city. This year a movie promotion will be released during More on 34. Also join Plano on Aug. 17-19 for Smallville Superfest honoring Superman and what he stands for.
