Letter: Happy homeowner thanks Schilling's office for help
Comment on this story
A few months ago, I put an offer down to purchase a house locally.
After I got all ready for closing, the bank informed me I would need some IRS documents before we could officially close. When I went to obtain these documents, the IRS told me it would up take up to eight weeks to receive them.
After many frustrations, it had been six weeks and I still hadn't heard anything from the IRS on the updated status of my documents, I decided to call Congressman Bobby Schilling's office to see if they could help. The deadline to close was approaching fast.
Schilling's office immediately opened an inquiry with the IRS office to see if they could get my documents as soon as possible. They were in contact with me and the IRS almost everyday to try and expedite the process. After about a week, Schilling's office was able to obtain the documents just in time, as I was going to lose the house in a matter of days without the proper IRS forms. With the help of Schilling, I am now a happy homeowner.
I just wanted to say, thank you, Congressman Schilling and staff, for going above and beyond in the constituent service department.
