Phoenix Art Gallery hosts closing reception

The Phoenix Art Gallery in Moline will host a closing reception for internationally-known artist Robert Kameczura from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday at the gallery, 1530 5th Ave., Moline.

One hundred and ten artworks by the Chicago-based artist have been exhibited at the gallery since November. He will be at the Friday reception to discuss his pieces as well as personally sign his prints and paintings.

Mr. Kameczura holds a degree from Columbia College Chicago in Literature and Creative Writing. He is also active as a poet, writer, scholar, as well as a music and art critic. His long experience with classical music, dance and theater is a strong element in many of his works. He has exhibited worldwide, including Japan, Poland, Greece, Ireland and across the United States.

As an artist, Mr. Kameczura has worked in acrylic, watercolor, drawing, silkscreen, black and white photography, giclee work and calligraphy. He also has a long history as a designer for several notable modern dance companies. For more information, visit kameczura.com.
