Jim and Marie DeSmet, Milan, will be honored at an open house on March 25, 2012, in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Rock Island Conservation Club. No gifts, please.

Marie Hebdon, Moline, and Mr. DeSmet, Rock Island, were married Jan. 15, 1972, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Their children are Amy (Frank) Benac, grandchildren, Ryan and Megan; Lori (Sean) Bahen, grandchildren, Jordan, Breanna and Emma; Dan (Candace) DeSmet, grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Molly and Annabelle; and Scott (Jen) DeSmet, grandson, Ian.

Mr. DeSmet retired from Case IH in 2000 after 30 years.

Mrs. DeSmet has been employed as a clinical coordinator/nurse manager at Trinity Wound Care Centers for 13 years.
