MOLINE, IL – February 1, 2010 – Mediacom Communications, in agreement with NBC Universal, today announced that its customers will have more ways to view the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games than ever before. Beginning with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, Feb. 12, NBC Universal will deliver more than 835 hours of unprecedented Winter Olympic programming, representing the most total hours ever devoted for a Winter Olympics, and the most live hours ever for a Winter Games.

Mediacom customers will be able to view the network's deep and rich content across multiple digital platforms that include HDTV, video-on-demand, and high-speed cable broadband. Vancouver will be the first Winter Olympics available entirely in high definition.

Subscribers will stay connected to the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games wherever they go, and can expect extensive TV coverage on the networks of NBC Universal, including NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Universal HD and Following are multiplatform offerings that will allow Mediacom customers to watch and be a part of the Vancouver Winter Games, including HD, VOD (OnDemand) and broadband services.

Mediacom's Olympics Experience Includes:


HD Coverage: For the first time, the Olympics will be available entirely in stunning HD, with HD coverage available on the networks of NBC Universal. Customers need not miss a minute of coverage, which includes alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsled, cross-country, curling, figure skating, ice hockey and snowboarding. USA HD and other NBC Universal networks are available to Mediacom Family Cable subscribers.

On Demand: NBC Universal is making gravity-defying highlights and full event rewinds available On Demand. The content is available at no charge to digital cable subscribers and viewable from the Mediacom OnDemand menu (channel 1).

· Pre-Games: Viewers can access more than 20, 5-7 minute clips available in SD and HD.

· In Games: NBCU will offer more than 100 highlight clips, approximately 15 per day, in addition to up to five full-length daily event replays. Additionally, NBCU will offer more than 30% of In-Games VOD in HD.

Cable Broadband: Mediacom's video customers will have access to the more than 400 hours of live event competition and more than 1,000 hours of on-demand access to full-event replays from Vancouver on, as well as extensive highlights such as event recaps, best-of montages, commentator analysis and athlete-specific clips.
