Martha Osborne, 70, of East Moline, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, East Moline, with services 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Estates, Moline, at a later date. The Rev. Barbara Melas-Swanson will officiate.
She was born April 26, 1938, in Whitestown, Ind., to Samuel L. and Violet L. Garland McClaine. Martha married Robert D. Osborne on July 22, 1955, in Lebanon, Ind. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Martha worked at Aramark Food Services at John Deere Harvester Works for 18 years, retiring in 2000. She was involved with the Union for Aramark. She loved to fish, camp, gamble on the boats, going to yard sales, her favorite NASCAR racer, Dale Jarrett, and was very devoted to her children and grandchildren.
Martha is survived by sons, Terry (Janice) Osborne, East Moline, Jeff (Linda) Osborne, Davenport, Frank Osborne, East Moline; brothers, Charles (Lynn) McClaine, Port Byron, Thomas McClaine, Davenport, Larry (Jackie) McClaine, Harold (Linda) McClaine, Michael (Theresa) McClaine, Marion (Susan) McClaine, all of Lebanon, Ind., Samuel (Janet) McClaine, New Ross, Ind., and Richard McClaine; sisters, Frances Barrett and Sue (Larry) Maxwell, both of Thorntown, Ind., Judy (David) Martin, Colfax, Ind., Vivian (Marvin) Ford, Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Gregory, Randy and Bobby; sisters, Janice and Elizabeth; and brother, James.
