Announcement is made of the engagement of Elizabeth Hanson, Moline, and Alex Baumgarten, Bettendorf. She is the daughter of Daniel and Nancy Hanson, Moline. He is the son of Mark and Jackie Baumgarten, Bettendorf.

The couple will be married at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Christ's Family Church, Davenport. The reception will follow at Black Hawk State Park.

Elizabeth graduated from Moline High School in 2003 and will graduate from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in May.

Alex graduated from Bettendorf High School in 2003 and will graduate from Iowa State University with a bachelor's in computer engineering and Spanish in May.
