Benefit planned for Geneseo woman injured in accident

GENESEO -- Members of Don Cherry VFW Post 5083 and Auxiliary will host a benefit for Lenore VanDeVoord starting at 4 p.m. Saturday at the post, 223 S. State St., Geneseo.

It includes a taco dinner, silent auction, bake sale and 7 p.m. pie auction. To donate pies, take them to the post Friday night or Saturday morning.

Ms. VanDeVoord, a lifelong resident of Geneseo, was injured in a three-car accident on Feb. 28. She suffered serious injuries and requires ongoing treatment.
