Bobby Joe Jones, 61, of Macomb, Ill., formerly of the Quad-Cities, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, at Countryview Care Center, Macomb.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour before service time.
Bobby was born on May 22, 1951, in Humboldt, Tenn., the son of Robert Lee Jones Sr. and Bertha Mae Gant.
Mr. Jones had been employed at John Deere Foundry, Caterpillar and IBP.
Survivors include his son, Damion Price, East Moline; siblings, Clara M. (Booker Sr.) Cole, Mattie L. Seward, Eddie L. (Ethelene) Jones, all of Rock Island, Willie C. (Joyce) Jones, Milan, Robert L. Jones Jr., Dorothy N. McElroy, both of Rock Island, Nellie (Jerome) Jones Thompson, East Moline, and Allen K. Jones, Rock Island; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Freddie Louise; and brother, James.
