Edwin Maitlen, Moline, will celebrate his 80th birthday with a family dinner.
He was born March 19, 1933. He married Patricia Hillyer on Oct. 13, 1951, in Rock Island.
His children are Alan Maitlen, Moline; Kerry Maitlen, Moline; Pamela and Michael Hofstetter, Hampton; Faith and Kurtis Kruger, Geneseo; and Timothy Maitlen, Davenport. He has 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was employed as a pipefitter at Case New Holland, retiring in 1996. He attends Harvest Bible Chapel, Davenport.
