Vivian Tinker
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Bettendorf Presbyterian Church. Burial is at Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Runge, Davenport. She was born in rural Bettendorf to Thomas and Vivian Townsend. She married Edwin B. Tinker Aug. 14, 1940. He died in 1987. Surviving are daughters, Sandy Tinker, Bettendorf, Pat Bergman, Davenport, and Edwina Keim, Bettendorf; brother, Howard Townsend, Davenport; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

1988 -- 25 years ago: Hampton's sesquicentennial committee and the Hampton HistoricalSociety have scheduled a full slate of activities, which will be held throughout the year, to celebrate the village's 150th birthday. The first celebration will be the Memorial Dayprogram at 10 a.m. May 30, at the Brettun and Black Store Museum on River Road. Therewill be a sesquicentennial display.
