Velma Lambert, 1004 N. Miller St. Apt. 2, West Liberty, Iowa, will celebrate her 90th birthday with a family dinner.
Velma Anderson was born Feb. 25, 1923. She married Lytle Lambert, Eliza, on Dec. 22, 1943, in Corpus Christie, Texas. He is deceased.
Her children are Frank Lambert, Rock Island; Tom Lambert, Muscatine, Iowa; and Suzanne Yeast, West Liberty. She has seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was employed as a math teacher for the Westmer School District for more than 30 years. She is a member of Eliza Community Church.
She would appreciate cards from former students and friends.

1989 — 25 years ago: Beginning this fall, Black Hawk College will offer a continuing education course in horseback riding at the Wright Way Equestrian Center, Moline, located just east of the Deere Administration Center.
