Lester Umland will be honored at a family dinner in celebration of his 80th birthday.
Les was born March 4, 1933, in Moline. He married Patricia Schroeder on June 2, 1956. He graduated from Moline High School in 1953. Les worked 38 years at McLaughlin Body Company, retiring in 1990.
Les and his wife, Pat, had three children together. They are Cherri (Jerry) Burns, Sherrard; Teresa (Charlie) Wentz, East Moline; and Steven Umland (deceased).
Love and best wishes to him from his family for a wonderful birthday.

The first celebration will be the Memorial Dayprogram at 10 a.m. May 30, at the Brettun and Black Store Museum on River Road. Therewill be a sesquicentennial display.
