Gilbert "Sonny" Short, will celebrate his 75th birthday with a "surprise" open house at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at a building on-site at Wedgewood Park, 23313 Greenriver Road, Colona.
His children are Wayne (Lisa), Sarona, Wis.; Debi, West Des Moines, Iowa; Curtis (Terumi), Tokyo, Japan; and Kathy and Jim (deceased but not forgotten). He has 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Gil owned A-1 Fire Equipment until 2004.
