Harold D. Gonyier Jr., 50, of Davenport, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at home.
A celebration of his life will be noon Saturday, March 16, at the home of his sister, Cindy Wells. A memorial fund has been established.
Harold was born Sept. 27, 1962, in Davenport, to Harold and Lois Gonyier.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; stepdaughters, Tara and Michelle Hurren, Davenport; siblings, Cindy Wells, Dawne Croxton, Kirk Gonyier and Michael Griffin, all of Port Byron; and two stepgrandchildren.

1989 -- 25 years ago: Some of us who live in the Quad-Cities take the Mississippi River for granted, or at least we used to. But the river is not taken for granted by our visitors. And most Quad-Citians are realizing the importance of the river to this area as increased emphasis is placed on tourism.
