Karen Madsen, 97, Bettendorf, died Nov. 9, 2012, at Manor Care Utica Ridge, Davenport.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at McGinnis-Chambers, Bettendorf. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Princeton, Mass. Memorials to Danish Immigrant Museum, 2212 Washington St., Elk Horn, Iowa 51331 or The Salvation Army, Davenport.
She was born July 30, 1915, in Jystrup, Denmark, to Anna and Lars Ditlefsen.She married Arne Madsen in 1943. He died in 2011.
Survivors are daughter, Birgitte Flanders, North Andover, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
