Jim and Kathy Schott Anniversary
Kathy Jinks, Rock Island, and Mr. Schott, Moline, were married on Jan. 19, 1963, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Their children are Dr. Michael Schott, Moline; Susan Viola, Las Vegas; and Steven Schott, Moline. They have four grandchildren. Mr. Schott was employed as a mason contractor at Schott & Welch Masonry, retiring in 2004 after 35 years. Mrs. Schott was employed at Sentry Insurance, retiring in 2004 after 15 years.

1988 -- 25 years ago: Hampton's sesquicentennial committee and the Hampton HistoricalSociety have scheduled a full slate of activities, which will be held throughout the year, to celebrate the village's 150th birthday. The first celebration will be the Memorial Dayprogram at 10 a.m. May 30, at the Brettun and Black Store Museum on River Road. Therewill be a sesquicentennial display.
