Library slideshow discussion on how to date old photos

Press release submitted by Moline Public Library Our Eye to the Past: What do Photographs tell us and How to Date Them Thursday, February 28 7 p.m. Meeting Rooms Moline Public Library Gretchen Frick Small, program director at the Butterworth Center and the Deere-Wiman House, will present a slideshow discussion on how to date old photos using a variety of methods including examining background details and fashions. She will also explain different photographic processes including daguerreotypes, tintypes, and stereo cards. Free and open to all ages. No registration is required.
