ILLOWA Sport Flyers to meet Feb. 2

Press release submitted by Jim Abbott ILLOWA SPORT FLYERS FIRST MEETING The first meeting of the ILLOWA SPORT FLYERS for the year will be Saturday the 2nd of February. The meeting will be held at the Erie Airpark Club house, Erie at 10:00 a.m. With the up coming Challenger Anniversary of 30 years,the club members will be discussing and working toward that weekend. The weekend of September 20-21 and 22nd. will be the celebration. 1988 -- 25 years ago: Pee Wee teams will be able to play baseball and softball as usualon Diamond Three at Dorrance Park this summer, but after that, the ball field is doomed.County crews have put the diamond back in shape after heavy trucks marred the playingfield earlier this spring. Illinois Department of Transportation crews drove onto it to makeborings for the relocation of the junction of Illinois 84 and the Port Byron-Hillsdale road.
