Saturday: Alleman meets Chicago St. Francis de Sales at 6 p.m. in the Catholic Shootout at Bloomington Central Catholic.

Starting lineups
Alleman:
G: Adam Hoogerwerf, 5-11, Sr. (10.9 ppg, 4.1 rpg), John Tracey, 6-1, Sr. (8.7, 3.9) & Kevin O'Keeffe, 6-0, Jr. (8.2, 3.7); F: Joey Boland, 6-0, Sr. (0.4, 2.3) & Alec Diab, 6-7, Jr. (2.9, 4.7).

Quincy: G: Cole Abbey, 6-0, Sr. (13.3 ppg, 3.6 rpg), Martin Kvitle, 6-3, Sr. (17.8, 3.9) & Mason Fairley, 6-0, Sr. (6.5, 3.7); F: Luke Radovic, 6-8, Jr. (3.9, 3.1) & Jason Salrin, 6-7, Sr. (4.8, 8.2).

Why watch: Alleman hopes to snap a three-game losing streak, but must do so at a place it historically has struggled to win games. The Pioneers are 2-39 all-time at Blue Devil Gym, with their last victory in the venue coming during the 2000-01 season. ... Alleman senior guard Dan Cutkomp sustained a hairline fracture in his right ankle, meaning he will be out at least four weeks. ... Quincy junior forward Connor Mellon will not play tonight. Mellon was ejected from the Blue Devils' previous game -- a 60-52 loss against East St. Louis is the Collinsville-Schnuck's Holiday Tournament championship game -- for throwing an elbow. ... In their last five games, the Pioneers are averaging 39.2 points. "Right now, it's getting quicker ball movement and facing up to the basket and being more aggressive," Alleman coach Pat Rangel said. " ... We have those lapses and droughts that kill us. We kill that, productivity will go up." ... Quincy has won the last 12 meetings in the series.

Alleman coach Pat Rangel: "Guys are upbeat and confident. Contrary to most teams, our guys like playing down there. They like playing in a great basketball venue. They thrive on that. Our record is not reflective of it, but we've had strong games down there. I'm confident we'll be fine."

Quincy coach Sean Taylor: "They are very well-coached and they play extremely hard. Our players know how important each conference game is, and they have a lot of respect for how Alleman competes."
