The Rev. Alfred Koschade, 84, of Davenport, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at his home.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Davenport, with visitation 9 a.m. to services. Burial is at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Montgomery, Minn.
He was born in 1928, in Finschhaffen, Papua New Guinea, to Victor and Ida Voss Koschade. He married Beatrice Weiland Dec. 5, 1951.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Miriam LeMaitre, the Rev. Dr. Marcia Solberg; sons, Mark, Ernest; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

1989 — 25 years ago: The two thunderstorms passing through the Quad Cities last night and early today left some area residents reaching for their flashlights.
