Ruby Boultinghouse, Rock Island, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Friday, Jan. 11, starting at 6 p.m. at The Stern Center, 1713 3rd Ave., Rock Island. Family and friends are welcome to come help her celebrate; no gifts please.
Ruby Barnes was born on Jan. 11, 1923. She married the late Ray Boultinghouse on Sept. 10, 1946.
Her children are Joann Fairman, Michael (Cindy) Boultinghouse, Eddie (AnneMarie) Boultinghouse, and the late Terry Boultinghouse. Ruby has 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Ruby retired from A.D. Huesing Corp. in 1990.

1989 -- 25 years ago: A Rock Island woman is one of 50 winners of $10,000 in cash in the Illinois State Lottery's "Celebration "89" instant ticket game. Dawn Loeffler was the third winner to be chosen through daily drawings that began Aug. 28 and will run 50 consecutive days.
