Mercer County hosting 'Pinning Down Hunger'

During its home opener on Thursday, the Mercer County wrestling program is hosting a food drive titled "Pinning Down Hunger." The Golden Eagles' triangular with Fulton and Erie-Prophetstown starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Mercer County Intermediate School in Aledo.

The team is encouraging all spectators to donate at least one non-perishable food item for donation to the Mercer County Food Pantry. For every item donated, the person will be entered in a drawing for a $30 gift certificate to the Mercer County Spirit Shop.
