Donald and Betty Kinkade, Rapids City, will be honored with a celebration open house in observance of their 65th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Rapids City Community Center, Rapids City. No gifts, please.
Betty L. Cain, Rapids City, and Donald J. Kinkade, Lanark, Ill., were married at Rapids City Christian Church on Dec. 5, 1947.
Their children are Daniel (Cindy) Kinkade, East Moline; Russell (Pam) Kinkade, Rapids City; Chris (Cathy) Kincade, Rapids City; and Larry (Mattie) Kinkade, Rockford, Ill. They have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kinkade was employed for 33 years at Fairbanks Morse, East Moline, and for 10 years at Moline Forge, retiring in 1986. Betty is a devoted homemaker.
