Velma J. Kuhn, East Moline, will be honored at an open house on Nov. 24, 2012, in observance of her 80th birthday.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Silvis Heights Baptist Church, 801 3rd St., Silvis.
Velma was born Nov. 24, 1932, in Rock Island.She married Roy Kuhn on Sept. 19, 1949. He died in 2001.
Her children are Joyce, deceased, (Ralph) Dobbins; Carol (Billie) Kahl, Silvis; Jeanna (Everett) LaRue, Cable, Ill.; and Ron Kuhn, Illinois City. She has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She retired in 1991 from the East Moline Correctional Center. She is a member of Silvis Heights Baptist.
