Augustana junior linebacker Erik Westerberg was named the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year on Tuesday, one of seven Vikings to earn league honors.

Westerberg was the CCIW's leading tackler for the second consecutive year, finishing with a team-high 118 stops. That total -- which included 66 solo tackles and 52 assisted -- put him 14th in the nation. He also tallied 14 tackles-for-loss with four sacks.

Earning second-team All-CCIW honors for the Vikings were Wethersfield's John Draminski (linebacker), Matt Glawe (cornerback), Sean McIntyre (defensive end), Alleman's Mike Kautz (offensive tackle), Eric Chandler (running back) and Kyle Snow (wide receiver).
