Arnold Bauer, Lighthouse at Silvis, 1900 10th St., Silvis, will be honored at an open house on Nov. 18, 2012, in observance of his 90th birthday.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Lighthouse at Silvis. No gifts, please.
He was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Dubuque, Iowa. He married Vivian Hirsch. She is deceased.
His daughter is Sally (Tom) Fuller, Moline. His grandchildren are Stacey (Jeff) Gerstel, Colona; and Jessica (Jason) Stahl, Aledo. He has four great-grandchildren.
He retired from Deere & Co., as a project architect, in 1985 after 36 years.
He is a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.

1989 -- 25 years ago: An avenue of lights, 13 Christmas trees strung with more than 44,000 sparkling lights, will expand the Festival of Trees beyond the walls of RiverCenter in downtown Davenport in mid-November.
