Services for Bette Schmid, 86, Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Moline and Rock Island, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony, Davenport. Burial is in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, and one hour prior to services at the church. She died Friday, Nov 9, 2012, at Bethany Home, Dubuque. She was born in 1926. Survivors are husband, John; brother, Paul Davis; children, Chris, Hudson, Wis., Jack, Dubuque, KathyMunson, Paradise Valley, Ariz., Nan Johnson, New York City; and three grandchildren.

Cost of the structure is estimated at $2.5 million. 1989 -- 25 years ago: Representatives of the Hardee's Golf Classic and tournament sponsor Hardee's Food Systems may meet next week with PGA Tour Commissioner Deane Beman to discuss a possible change in the tournament dates.
