Linda and Charles Dinwiddie, 8104 9th St., Rock Island, will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a dinner and dance at 5 p.m. today at the Rock Island Moose, 4410 9th St. Relatives and friends are invited.
Linda Hendrickson and Mr. Dinwiddie were married Nov. 10, 1962, at Memorial Christian Church, Rock Island.
Their children are Lana (Ernest) Weed; Debby (Curt) Chipman; Cheri (Kelly) Hollett; and Chuck (Ann Webber) Dinwiddie Jr. They have 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dinwiddie is employed at Bonnett Wholesale Florist. Mrs. Dinwiddie is a homemaker.

1964 -- 50 years ago: Nearly 4,000 people are expected to attend weekend sessions of the Jehovah's Witnesses Assembly being held at the Masonic Temple.
1989 -- 25 years ago: The B-29 Super-Fortress bomber is impressive looking, and it did the job during World War II. Its claim to fame is dropping the atomic bombs in Japan to end the war. Only one B-29 is operational in the world today. It is on display at the Quad City Airport in Moline until Friday.
