Roberta Nelson Hagerbaumer, 67, Black Canyon City, Ariz., formerly of East Moline, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at 3:02 a.m. in Phoenix, Ariz.

Services were Friday, Sept. 7, at Heritage Funeral Chapel, Peoria, Ariz., with interment following in Dewey, Ariz. A memorial service to celebrate Roberta's life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Crossing, 150 S. 48th, Quincy, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. The funds will be used for a tribute at the Sherman Hospice Home in Phoenix to honor Roberta.

She was born May 9, 1945, in Kirksville, Mo., to Floyd and Opal West Nelson. She married Chet Hagerbaumer in Steffenville, Mo., on Sept. 29, 1963.

Roberta had worked in several shoe stores and sold Artex, Tupperware and Sarah Coventry Jewelry through the years. She enjoyed sewing, playing piano and her grandchildren were the highlight of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey Garner; and niece, Leangela Porter. Surviving are three children, Terry (Kim) Hagerbaumer, Leanna (Tim) Allison and Lisa (Brad) Broughton; grandchildren, Christopher (Jenny) Hagerbaumer, Megan Allison, Alysa Broughton and Molly Allison; great-grandchildren, Nickolaus Hagerbaumer, Avauri Clayvon, a great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by siblings, Judith Hager and Keith Nelson; a sister-in-law, Betty Hagerbaumer; and brother-in-law, Raymond Garner; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
