Carlos Woodward, 85, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in Houston, Texas.

There are no services. A private interment will be held at a later date at Viola Cemetery. Dennison Funeral Home, Viola, is handling arrangements.

He was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Moline and was a second generation lifelong resident in the Illinois Quad-Cities area.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Maxine, and his son, Matt.

His career varied, but the majority of his working years he spent as president of Sterling Products in Moline.

He is survived by his three daughters, a son, as well as multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a devoted father and husband. May God hold him in the palm of his hand.
