Lucille G. Shehorn, 88, of Moline, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, 3535 38th Ave., Rock Island, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made in care of Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Lucille was born on June 8, 1924, in Atlanta, Ill., a daughter of Elmer and Lucy Kemplin Polley. She married Donald Shehorn on June 21, 1942, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1993.
Lucille really enjoyed cooking, shopping, going out to eat and attending church and church functions. She dearly loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Ken (Doris) Shehorn, Illinois City, and Jewel (Stan) Sallows, Moline; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Irvin, Lesley and Donald Polley; and sisters, Jewel Smith and Dorothy Klemm.

At 7:30 a.m., a police squad carpulled up in front of Miss Day's home and escorted her to school. A caravan of students' cars joined the procession along the way. 1988 -- 25 years ago: Barbecue cooking and riverfront antics are planned for Discover the River Day Saturday in Leach Park, Bettendorf. A 5K run, wind surfing, a canoe race, hogcalling and more will round out the day under the Interstate 74 bridge.
