He married Mary Trumble Jan. 10, 1948. Surviving are his wife; children, Ron, Austin, Texas, Tim, Kewanee, and Sandy Swanson, Cambridge; grandchildren, Troy Swanson, Woodridge, Ill., and Tracey Ramos, Kewanee; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jeannette Green, St. Johns, Mich., and Dorothy Salmon, Maryland.

This year's festival has beenexpanded to five days, June 22-26, at the Northeast Park complex.
