Isabell Marie Sumner, 83, of Street, Md., died on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Md. She was the wife of Everett L. Sumner Sr., with whom she had shared 66 years of marriage.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary, Colona, with a service at 7:30 p.m. by the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 626.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline with Pastor Sam Henderson of the Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church presiding.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite No. 800, Chicago, IL 60601.

Born on Oct. 9, 1928, in Hot Springs, Bath County, Va., she was a daughter of the late George Raymond and Virgie Elizabeth Pritt Thomas. Mrs. Sumner had worked for the former Bata Shoe Company and as a waitress for the former Regal Restaurant in Bel Air, Md.

In 1967, Mrs. Sumner moved to the Quad-Cities area of Illinois, where she was active in community affairs, operated the Little League concession stand, led Cub Scout Pack No. 147 and taught Sunday school at Green Rock Southern Baptist Church in Green Rock. Mrs. Sumner was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 626 in Silvis.

She and her husband returned to Maryland in 1999, where she was a homemaker, enjoying crocheting and bird watching.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Nancy Hood, and her husband, Ralph, Milan, Robert H. Sumner, and his wife, Linda, Street, June Mundis, and her husband, Donald, Conowingo, Md., Everett Sumner Jr., and his wife, Ida, Street; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Sumner, in 1981 and a grandson, James M. Vaughn, on July 15, 1997.
