Beverly Stafford, 76, Ellsworth, Mich., died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at her home in the arms of her loving husband.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Beverly was born June 12, 1936, in Fulton County, Ill., the daughter of Willis "Acey" and Ethel (Jones) Snyder. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline. She married Alden Stafford on June 19, 1954.

Beverly was an amazing person. She was a devoted wife and mother, the best anyone could of asked for. There was never a baby that she didn't love instantly. Her battle with heart and lung illness for many years never got the best of her. She was very strong and brave and kept her focus on the needs of those she loved.

Survivors include her children, Amy (David) LaBute, Ellsworth, Alden (Bonnie) Stafford, Loveland, Colo., and Randy (Marlene) Stafford, Windsor, Colo; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Caroline Anderson, Coco, Fla., and Ruth Ann (Lawrence) Whitenair, East Moline; and a brother, Jim (Bernadine) Snyder, Silvis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marion Hegwood; and brothers, Jerry, Larry and John.
