Nutrition Tips and Food Demonstration at the Geneseo Public Library

Get smart about food! RaeAnn Tucker, Director of Public Information with the Henry/Stark County Health Department, will present a program on healthy eating and healthy lifestyle at the Geneseo Public Library on Thursday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. She will help participants navigate the perils of food labels, fad diets, and nutrition myths and misinformation. RaeAnn's program will also feature food demonstrations of some of her favorite "good-for-you foods. There will be food sampling and door prizes.

This program is part of the library's "Feed Your Brain" adult summer reading program which includes a drawing for prizes each week, and a Cookie Swap on July 19. The library is located at 805 N. Chicago St. Call 309-944-6452 for more information.

1988 -- 25 years ago: Fines for overdue items at the Rock Island Public Library are beingincreased to 10 cents per day per item effective July 1. Fines will not be prorated onbooks returned after that date.
