Memorial services for Thelma Maxine Danner, 89, of East Moline, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Danner died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hope Creek Activity Fund.
Maxine Cooper was born July 2, 1922, in Galt, Mo., to Oral Windsor and Ida Mae Sims Cooper. She married Guy F. Daniels in September 1941. He died in 1971. She later married Jesse J. Danner in 1973. He died in 1999.
She owned and operated two cafes and had managed a private elderly care home.
Survivors include her son, Larry (Kathy) Daniels, of Bucklin, Mo.; grandchildren, Colleen Dean, of Woodhull, and Russel G. (Patricia) Daniels, of Biggsville, Ill.; great-grandchildren, Ryan Daniels, Nicholas Daniels, Nathan Daniels and Jackie Brown; sister, Wilma Dzekunskas, of Moline; and brother, Lindy W. (Barbara) Cooper, of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; special niece, Denise Olson; and sisters, Patricia Herkert and Jean LaFerrara.
