Phillip Richard Sheahan, 62, a longtime resident of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Moline, died Dec. 14, 2011.

A graveside memorial service with Honor Guard will be held Friday, June 8, at 2:30 p.m. with inurnment at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. A celebration of his life will be held at Frank's Pizzeria in Silvis at 5:30 p.m.

He was a machinist by trade, employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years. He had a passion for model trains, especially the Rock Island Line. Phil was a Vietnam veteran, a graduate of United Township High School and an avid Illini supporter. He had a lifelong love for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears.

Phil is loved and will be missed by many, including his sisters, Gayle, Ellen and Tracey, and brothers, Rob and Jim. He was devoted to his nieces and nephews, Spencer, Cameron, Michael, Claire, James, Patty, Sarah, David, Daniel, Garret and Gabriel; and great-nephew, Kai. He is missed by his sisters- and brothers-in-law. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta, and his father, Robert.
