Discover your business management style in BHC class

Small business owners and managers can learn which style of management may best fit their personality in "Small Business Management Styles and Business Continuity Planning" at Black Hawk College.

The class also will address business continuity planning and preparedness in the event of a disruption or disaster.

The class will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Cost is $50.

Know a high school girl interested in engineering, math, science or technology?

The 7th annual Digital Divas Go Green – a technology camp for girls who have completed eighth through 12th grades – will be June 12-14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Black Hawk College in Moline.

Divas will explore math, science, engineering and technology with fun, hands-on activities.

Cost is $50 and includes a T-shirt, supplies, lunch and a field trip to Fermilab in Batavia, Ill. The registration deadline is May 25.

Apply for BHC Foundation scholarships by May 31

Current and future Quad-Cities Campus students may apply for scholarships from the Black Hawk College Foundation through May 31.

Students should apply online at foundation.bhc.edu. Scholarships are for students attending the college's Quad-Cities Campus in Moline and are based on a wide range of criteria including specific majors, GPA and financial need.

Award announcements will begin in July.

Kids can learn to swim this summer at BHC

The next session of Swim School for youths ages 4-15 begins June 4 at Black Hawk College in Moline.

Summer youth classes are Monday through Thursday. Sessions are June 4-14, June 18-28, July 2-12 and July 16-26. Choose from 9:15-10 a.m., 10:15-11 a.m., 11:15 a.m. to noon, 4:15-5 p.m. and 5:15-6 p.m.

Cost is $48 per session except for July 2-12 which is $42.

Spanish, Game Programming summer youth camps at BHC

Black Hawk College's summer youth camps kick off the week of June 4 with Spanish Camp and Game Programming Camp.

In Spanish Camp, students ages 8-12 will experience the culture, history, food and dance from Latin American countries while learning fun and basic conversational Spanish from a native speaker.

Spanish Camp will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 5-7 at the college's Outreach Center in East Moline. Cost is $26 plus a $6 for a Spanish/English Dictionary.

In Game Programming Camp, students ages 13-17 will create their own graphic-oriented games using GameMaker, then play against the computer.

Game Programming Camp will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. June 4-7, at the college's Quad-Cities Campus in Moline. Cost is $150.
