Davenport's River Drive to remain closed through the weekend

Press release submitted by Jennifer A. Nahra Forest Road and River Drive Sanitary Sewer Separation Project – River Drive is now not expected to be reopened until next week. Starting Monday, May 14th, West Locust Street between Washington Lane and Washington Street will be reduced to a single lane of travel for each direction on the north side. Both eastbound lanes will be closed due to the replacement of a sewer lateral by a private contractor. The work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, May 16th. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid possible delays.
