Melvin Dean and Elaine Dorothy Rash, 378 Valley View Circle, Dahinda, Ill., will be honored at an open house on May 11, 2012, in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 5 to 9 p.m. at Brentwood Lounge, 8082 Oak Run Drive, Dahinda. No gifts, please.

Elaine Sedwick, Monmouth, and Mr. Rash, Rock Island, were married on May 12, 1962, at Second Presbyterian Church, Monmouth.

Their children are Angela Adrian-Hall, St. Louis; and Amy Curtiss, Rock Island. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Rash was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Alcoa Davenport Works, retiring in 1999 after 34 years.

Mrs. Rash was employed as a registered nurse in obstetrics at Lutheran, Moline Public, United and Trinity hospitals, retiring in 1997, after 37 years.

They are members of New Life Fellowship, Watauga, Ill.
