In recognition of the 2012 Summer Olympics, the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities is bringing a "Parade of Nations" to life on ice. The ice show will feature figure skating routines with music from around the world. More than 80 local skaters, ranging from preschoolers to seniors, will showcase their artistic programs. Nations coming together to honor athletes who will be competing on the world stage this summer is the underlying theme. Individual, group and synchronized skating numbers will be performed.

This event will be taking place at The River's Edge in Davenport and is sponsored in part by the Davenport Parks & Recreation Department and the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities. There is only one show -- Sunday at 2 p.m.

Parade of Nations tickets will be sold in advance at The River's Edge at the front desk. Tickets will also be available at the door on show day, if any remain available. Tickets are $10 for adults with students/seniors costing $5. Preschoolers and younger are free. Seating is limited and available on first arrival basis with a jacket recommended. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. with the show starting at 2 p.m.
