Announcement is made of the upcoming wedding of Carissa Lane VanDeWostine and Matthew John Sweeney, both of DeKalb, Ill.

She is the daughter of Bryan and Michol VanDeWostine, Lynn Center. He is the son of Matthew and Theresa Sweeney, Hanover Park, Ill.

The couple will be married on May 26, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church, Moline.

Carissa graduated from Sherrard High School in Sherrard and also from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb with a business administration degree. She is employed by Sears Holdings' corporate office.

Matthew graduated from Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream, Ill., and also from Northern Illinois University with an OMIS degree. He is employed by K & B Transportation, Rochelle, Ill.
