Wrong-way driver causes fatal Chicago crash

CHICAGO (AP) — Illinois State Police say a driver going the wrong way on the Bishop Ford Expressway caused a fatal accident in Chicago.

The two-car crash forced authorities to shut down inbound lanes of the freeway during Monday's morning commute. State police officials say the wrong-way driver was heading south in the northbound lanes.

One person was killed and another injured. The accident remains under investigation.

Since December, several accidents involving wrong-way drivers have resulted in injuries and deaths.
