Heavy rains early Sunday afternoon caused the Quad Cities River Bandits to postpone their game with the South Bend Silver Hawks at Modern Woodmen Park until Tuesday. That means the regularly scheduled game Tuesday night becomes a pair of seven-inning contests starting at 5.

Sunday's game was delayed nearly 30 minutes before team officials called it off.

"They just need to relax now and get ready for (today)," Bandits manager Luis Aguayo said. "It might be a long day because they're expecting more rain. We'll see what happens. Everybody will go home early and rest."

The postponement pushes the Bandits' rotation back a day. Dail Villanueva starts today's 11 a.m. contest, and Tyrell Jenkins and Hector Hernandez will start in that order on Tuesday. Any ticket for Sunday's game can be exchanged at the box office for a ticket to any remaining regular-season game.
