Melody L. Carroll Favri, 57, of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at her residence.

Per her requests, cremation has been accorded and a gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo. Graveside inurnment services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the North Cemetery, Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family.

Melody was born on June 4, 1954, in Geneseo, the daughter of Earl and Virginia Heller Carroll. She was united in marriage to William Favri, and they later divorced. Melody loved collecting Boyd's Bears, tending to her plants and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Survivors include her daughter, Amber (Jason Montgomery) Holton, Carthage, N.Y.; her son, Dustin (Stephanie) Favri, Cambridge; three grandchildren, Gwendolyn Remmers and Cody and Derek Holton; her twin brother, Neil "Butch" (Diane) Carroll, Colona; and a sister, Joyce (Roy Parker) Bauwens, Geneseo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ron Carroll.
